Here're the instructions for the Miss Strangeworth Blog Assignment:

ENG 2D1 Miss Strangeworth Blog Assignment

A blog is basically an online journal/diary that can reach a huge audience.  Being online, however, allows you to add multimedia elements such as photos and links to other websites.

Your task:  pretend that you are Miss Strangeworth from the story “A Possibility of Evil” and create a blog for her.  Your blog needs to have the following elements:

1)      A catchy title.

2)      One 75-100 word entry for the first day in the story when she goes into town.

3)      One 75-100 word entry for the next day when she wakes up and gets the letter.

4)      A profile section that includes her name, age, location, and interests.

5)      An appropriate picture.

6)      A links section with two appropriate links to web sites she would like (and yes you can make them up).

7)      A twitter section with two recent tweets from Miss Strangeworth (and remember, tweets can only be 140 characters - including spaces.).

Steps:

1 – Go through this instruction sheet carefully and create a rough sketch of your blog’s layout.  You can use my blog (or others) as a guide if you wish.

2 – Write a rough copy of both entries and tweets.

3 – Show Mr. Lengyel your rough work.

4 – Create the good copy on the computer.

Marks: Requirements 1, 5, & 6:  5 for completion.

             Requirement 2: 5 for logical content, 2 for spelling/grammar.

             Requirement 3: 5 for logical content, 2 for spelling/grammar.

             Requirement 7: 2 for logical content.

 Rough Copy: 4 for completion.

Total: 25
